Founding attorney Kim Buhler-Thomas has more than 30 years of experience practicing immigration law and guiding clients through complex U.S. immigration processes.

The firm assists with non-immigrant visas, immigrant visas, family-based and employment-based immigration, green cards, and naturalization. Buhler Thomas Law also advises employers on compliance, including PERM labor certifications and employment-based sponsorship.

Appointments and Payments

You can schedule an appointment through the “Schedule an Appointment” portal on the website or by calling the office directly. New clients are encouraged to complete the online intake form in advance so the attorney can review their situation before the meeting.

Yes. Buhler Thomas Law offers video and telephone consultations to clients throughout the United States and around the world.

Office hours are Monday–Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The office is closed on weekends and on designated holidays.

New clients should complete the online client intake form before their consultation and bring any relevant immigration notices, passports, and prior applications, if available.

Clients may pay through the firm’s secure online payment portal, and additional payment arrangements can be discussed with the office as needed.

Attorney Credentials and Licensure

Kim Buhler-Thomas is the firm’s founder and lead attorney. She has over three decades of experience in immigration law and represents both individual and corporate clients in a wide range of immigration matters.

Kim earned her J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and holds a B.A. in International Relations with an emphasis in Chinese language.

Kim is licensed to practice law in Utah and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. She has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) for many years.

Yes. Attorney David B. Thomas also practices with the firm. He is licensed in Utah and Idaho and admitted to practice before several federal courts.
