Attorney David B. Thomas
Dave worked with the Office of the General Counsel at Brigham Young University from 1991 to 2015 and is a member of the bar in both Utah and Idaho. He is a 1979 graduate cum laude of the J. Reuben Clark Law School. After graduation, he clerked for Judge Marion J. Callister of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. Following his clerkship, Dave worked for two years in Washington, D.C., as a staff attorney in the Office of the Solicitor for the Department of the Interior. Following private practice in Salt Lake City as an associate in the law firm of Fox, Edwards, Gardiner & Brown, Dave formed his own firm, Stoker & Thomas, where he focused on general commercial and complex litigation. Dave has taught classes at BYU for the J. Reuben Clark Law School, the Marriott School of Management, and the College of Religious Education.

Eliza Handley
Eliza is the Senior Paralegal and also oversees accounting and office management. She loves working with our clients and being part of their immigration journey. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a double major in Latin America Studies and Spanish. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is now learning French. In her free time, she enjoys crafts such as crochet, embroidery, paper arts, etc. and rewatching all of her favorite shows.

Rebeca Knapp
Beca is a Paralegal who works on family-based and employment-based cases. She enjoys helping our clients work through the various immigration processes. Beca graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in Spanish Translation and a minor in Global Women's Studies, and was the student speaker for the College of Humanities convocation. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and currently learning Italian, Beca is passionate about languages and cross-cultural communication, and loves working with clients from around the globe. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, caring for houseplants, and sampling new flavors of gelato.

Marilyn Michalsky
Marilyn is a Paralegal who works on family-based and employment-based cases. She is dedicated to helping clients and their families navigate the immigration process with confidence and clarity. Marilyn graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Humanities in Spanish with a minor in Translation and Localization. Fluent in Spanish, Marilyn values building meaningful relationships with clients and supporting them throughout their immigration journey. In her free time, she enjoys roller skating, thrifting, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies.

Sarah Quesenberry
Sarah is a Law Clerk who works on specialized employment-based cases. She is passionate about our clients and about aiding their journeys through the immigration system. Sarah graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Political Science, minoring in Spanish and Global Women's Studies. She is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration at the University of Oregon. Fluent in Spanish, Sarah loves learning from other cultures and languages, driven by her belief that everyone deserves to be understood, regardless of language. Beyond work, Sarah loves to listen to audiobooks, play board games, and find treasures at the thrift store.
